Xceptional, an expert in neurodivergent talent has announced a partnership with Randstad, a global leader in recruitment and HR services with an ambition to become the most equitable and specialised talent company. Together, the two companies will work to expand opportunities for neurodivergent people in the Victorian Government. At the heart of this partnership is a shared mission to promote neurodiversity and disability inclusion in the workplace. The partnership supports the Victorian Government to deliver on Getting to work, its disability employment action plan 2018-2025. The plan is designed to increase the representation of and meaningful employment for people with disability across the public sector so that it can deliver the best outcomes for the Victorian community.
Xceptional has long been a champion of these values, providing a range of services to support neurodivergent individuals while creating accessible, inclusive workplaces. Through its innovative approach, Xceptional has helped companies across a range of industries build more inclusive and effective teams.
According to the Victorian Government, people with disability make up around 7.3% of the Victorian workforce (aged 15 to 64). People with disability make up 7.8% of Victorian Public Service employees employed in places like government departments and an estimated 5.1% of employees across the broader Victorian public sector.
By partnering with Randstad, Xceptional will be able to expand its impact and reach more job seekers and employers. Randstad's global network and resources will allow Xceptional to offer its services to a broader audience, including the Victorian Government. This is an exciting opportunity to create real change in the workplace and promote greater understanding and acceptance of neurodiversity and disability inclusion.
"We're thrilled to partner with Randstad to bring our services to the Victorian Government and help support the Disability Access and Inclusion Plan," said Xceptional Chief Growth Officer, Aron Mercer. "This is a great opportunity to extend our reach and provide more support to individuals on the autism spectrum and other neurodivergent conditions. We believe that everyone deserves the chance to contribute their unique skills and perspectives, and this partnership will help us achieve that goal."
Madeline Hill, Randstad’s General Manager - Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, also commented: "It’s incredibly satisfying to help our clients achieve their diversity objectives. Our partnership with Xceptional will enable the Victorian Government to accelerate the goals outlined in the Disability Access and Inclusion plan.
