Fairness, Dignity & Equality
Australian Disability would like to begin by acknowledging the Darramuragal people, Traditional Custodians of the land on which we meet today, and pay my respects to their Elders past and present. We extend that respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples here today.
We further would like to dedicate our work towards the maintenance and advancement of rights for people with disabilities, in doing so we acknowledge the painful but ever so real history of Violence, Abuse, Negligence and Exploitation, sometimes that are still occurring to this day, we also dedicate ourselves to working through the past trauma and the associated grief to ensure those activities never happen again.
