Disability Services Minister Don Punch has welcomed today's news that Ms McKenna Kerr has been appointed to the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA Board)
Ms McKenna Kerr is the current CEO of the Autism Association of Western Australia and has served on a range of peak disability advisory bodies
Disability Services Minister Don Punch has welcomed the appointment of Ms Joan McKenna Kerr onto the Board of the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).
Ms McKenna Kerr is a preeminent voice within Western Australia's disability services sector and holds more than 25 years of industry experience. She is the Chief Executive Officer of the Autism Association of Western Australia.
She previously served as National President of National Disability Services and has led strategic direction as a member of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Independent Advisory Council and as a member of the Commonwealth NDIS Advisory Group reporting to the Council of Australian Government's Select Council of Ministers and Treasurers.
The appointment of Ms McKenna Kerr is particularly welcome from a WA standpoint as it provides a strategic position at the Commonwealth level with direct knowledge and understanding of the State's unique landscape, opportunities and challenges.
Ms McKenna Kerr was confirmed as one of two new appointments to the 12-member NDIA Board.
