Dr. Palipana, a pioneer in medicine, law, and disability advocacy, has achieved remarkable milestones, being the first quadriplegic medical intern in Queensland and the second person with quadriplegia to graduate as a doctor in Australia.
As the co-founder of Doctors with Disabilities Australia, Dr. Palipana has received widespread recognition, including the prestigious 2021 QLD Australian of the Year award, for his infectious advocacy work focused on inclusivity in education and employment. His dedication aligns seamlessly with Arriba Group’s mission to create workplaces that not only welcome diversity but also recognise its intrinsic value.
Accepting the role of Ambassador for Arriba Group, Dr. Palipana shares his vision for shaping the foundation of meaningful employment. Collaborating with AimBig Employment, a pivotal company within Arriba Group, he emphasises the importance of focusing on individuals facing diverse barriers to employment.
